It's always about the money. Everything is all of the time. Figure who is making money in the situation and work your way back from there to solve this. I have lived on and around the lake for years and up and down it goes. We are real close to being full now, all we can do is hope for rain and more rain.

I wrote Ms Couch several times, as a Lake Lanier Resident and property owner.... asking her to Implore the Corps not to resume the high output of water (which resumed on the 30 of APR). I read where the 1071 Coalition contacted her as well... much to no avail. I wrote to the following adress: Dr. Carol Couch Georgia Environmental Protection Division 2 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Atlanta, GA 30334 Since her major concern is enviromental I of course mentioned the return of the local wildlife to the lake ( with the higher levels) and the concerns for the eroding shorline. I say we innundate her with letters. I wish that we could speak with the judge in FLA who is ruling on the Lake and Buford Dam releases right now in the court of Fla. If anyone has info on how to imput our views please post the info.

IF I paid all that money to live on the lake front, believe be, people and states would be getting sued to stop this. What did the trout do before lake Lanier was created? I'm sure there was droughts back in the 30's and 40's

Im going to try and post this again. Ms. Couch, stop being a "Couch Potatoe". Another one, "Can you see the forest for the trees", and finally "Do bears ---- in the woods"? How do we as Lake Lanier advocates contact her and voice our concerns? Let me know, we need to move know!

If anyone ever watches the waether on TV, one can notice that a large portion of rain generally comes up from the southwest. Alabama almost always gets the more servere rain and storms when seem to weaken by the time they get to Georgia (like today)for example. Why do we have to cater to Alabama when they get rain before we do and more of it? Are we dealing with spineless or thoughless people who are given authority to make decisions that impact our community? Carol Couch may be head of the EPD, but she apparently has no idea of what she is doing. Carol, look at the pictures from the last two years.

Who is Carol Couch anyways? I want to know more about her. Where does she work? If she is a GA rep she needs to be highlighted, not just mentioned like some idiot. Let's find her and register our feelings!

Those of us who live on the lake must resign ourselves to the fact that, as paranoid as it sounds, we are surrounded by enemies. They include the states of Florida and Alabama, and our own Carol Couch, who has never had any interests at heart outside of her own. The corp is a pawn in this game, responding to whomever has the loudest megaphone. Their management of the lake is laughable - go back to the faulty gauge that they paid attention to religiously saying the lake wasn't really going down as they ignored the voices of those of us who live on the lake and told them otherwise! The trout population, come on!!! What a joke!! The whole situation is like looking at a Dali painting. TraderGer
