Wreck On Lake Lanier Bridge Dumps Gas and Oil Into Lake Lanier

Written by
Tonight, a 5 car pileup on SR369 over Lake Lanier dumped between 40-50 gallons of gas, oil, and anti-freeze into Lake Lanier.
The wreck occurred on Browns Bridge that links Forsyth and Hall Counties around 5:30pm with multiple injuries.
The Georgia DNR expects the spill to dissipate and not cause any harm to wildlife.  Browns Bridge was reopened at 7:30pm.
Thankfully the bridge contained the wreck and no vehicles plummeted into Lake Lanier.
