The water level at Lake Lanier has been bouncing for the past week and it is currently at 1070.47 and rising.  The weather at Lake Lanier has been extremely cold with some parts of Lake Lanier completely frozen over.  It is very strange seeing ice floating on top of Lake Lanier.  The temperatures have been in 20s for the past week causing even the bravest boaters to stay off the water. 

A judge ruled that any negotiations between the states has the right to stay secret.  This has many people concerned including the Upper Chattahoochee River Keepers and the people that operate this website.  What are they discussing behind closed doors that is to be kept secret?  Sounds much like the federal government holding closed door meeting over OUR health care! Hopefully some information about the possible negotiation will leak out. These meetings are dealing with water source for an entire metropolitan area and the future of Lake Lanier... the least they can do is provide the public details about what is being discussed.  I will let you know of any changes or information that is released.
