If you've been reading this site over the last few weeks, you'll have seen a lot of concern raised by our visitors about a potential new road in northern Hall County. Plans for the road had changed but the most recent ones had ballooned in expense and would potentially run over the Olympic Venue at Clarks Bridge.

Much of this opposition was lead by a local group called the "Lake Lanier Community Preservation Association".
It looks like they've been successful.
The Hall County Board of Commissioners voted on the plans yesterday and decided to recommend that the Greater Hall Metro Planning Organization scrap all existing plans. Their recommendation: use existing roads to save money and minimize disturbance to homeowners.
