It’s certainly not the case any longer. Once a needle in a haystack, this product has become a needle in a needle stack.Cut to 2010 and the current marketplace. At the time of this post, across all price ranges, there are 137 Ranch Homes for sale right now in Forsyth County - with basements. That is making a little more difficult for those 127 Ranch Homes on Slabs to sell, that’s for sure. This particular product has become somewhat of a commodity. Not that they aren’t selling but again, a family of 4 or more are not typically looking for a Ranch Home, so the target market is tight.
My guess is in a few years, when we’re past this, Ranch Homes will again become a hot commodity as the boomers are aging and retiring. But until then - sellers with this type of product have to find a way to differentiate themselves from the herd.
