Lake Lanier Predicted to be 2 Feet Below Average Entering Winter

Written by

The Corps of Engineers has just released their prediction for Lake Lanier water levels of the next few weeks. The prognosis is good. The water level will fall around 2 feet by mid-October which is almost exactly the average drop at this time of year.

The prediction also shows how much things have improved since the start of the year:

  • Amount below the annual average on January 1st, 2009: 12 feet
  • Amount below the annual average on October 15th, 2009: 2 feet
