Lake Lanier Association Annual Membership Meeting

The Lake Lanier Association will hold its Annual Membership Meeting on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the Lakeview Center, 2057 Dawson Forest Rd., E. Dawsonville. The event is open to all Association members, and non-members interested in preserving the water quality and quantity of Lake Lanier.

The meeting will begin at 5: 30 pm with a light refreshments followed by the program from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm. The Association’s Board of Directors will update the membership on the current activities and events of the Lake Lanier Association.  Major General Todd T. Semonite, Commander, South Atlantic Division, US Army Corps of Engineers will be the guest speaker.

Candidates for U.S. Senate and Congressional Districts seven and nine will address their views on lake issues in response to a Lake Lanier Association questionnaire.  Also invited are candidates for County Commission seats in the counties surrounding Lake Lanier.

Founded in 1966, the Lake Lanier Association is the oldest volunteer group working to protect the high water quality as well as the Lake Lanier water levels and to preserve its valuable legacy for future generations.
