The developers of the resort were Great Wolf Resorts who operate similar venues around the country. The talked with the City of Cumming for years and much work was done to prepare Mary Alice Park and the surrounding roads.

However it turns out the plan are on hold indefinitely and the culprit is obvious: the recession. Great Wolf just couldn't attract financing.

A letters of intent for building at Mary Alice Park has now expired. Great Wolf spokesman Steve Shattuck said the company is still interested but don't expect any progress soon.
