Read the article here. That will put us at 2.5 feet below full pool. This elevation has not been reached since September, 2005 per the article. WOW

Chris Lovelady with the Corps says he cannot remember the last time the Lake got such a boost in water levels and the last time we had this much rain that fell directly into the Water Basin which causes the lake to rise. He also said that generation from the Dam has to be stopped during this kind of flooding rain as it will only hurt those already suffering down toward Atlanta if more water was released. All good news for this Lake....it has been long awaited. He also predicted that if the winter is normally "wet", we may be looking at OVER full pool entering into Spring. Never thought we would see the day!

Here is to all those suffering through the flood and that they can get back to some kind of normalcy soon. Our thoughts and prayers to those 10 who lost their lives, their family and friends.
