Much has been made about the race for Governor. You can read about it here, here, and here. Bottom line is Barnes is once again raising more money than all the candidates. That could be a good thing, but remember he was the best funded candidate when he lost relection.
Today we get a announcement that Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle has raised $145,650 in the last quarter. Of course being an incumbent he should have expected more, but remember he is barred from raising money during the session. Which leads to another question: Does anyone actually believe he raised all $145, 650 in the first two weeks of January? and How much of this will be transferred to his legal defense fund?
Oh and a completely ignore fact by our local media is that James Mills and Carl Rogers are bleeding money? After Mills $170,000 campaign against political newcomer Christopher Strickland, he (Mills) only has $49,141.20. The more shocking news is that democrat-turned-republican-turned-senate-whore Carl Rogers has only $12,699.52. Here is hoping they both have republican and democratic challengers in the upcoming elections.
