Believe it or not, there is a dedicated group of scuba divers who explore Lake Lanier throughout the year.

Dive Sites

The main location for scuba diving on the lake are:

• West Bank Park which features two areas called Mask Cove and Divers Cove. You can click here to download a full emergency management plan for diving at West Bank Park.
  
• Two Mile Creek Park
  
• Cocktail Cove which is good for finding anchors, sun glasses, flooded cell phones, bathing and other wear!

Visibility

• 2 to 20 feet depending on depth, time of year and boat traffic.
• Things you're most likely to see include sticks, mud, dead trees, rocks, stripers, bass, crappie and blue gills.
  
• From a boat it is possible but difficult to see a dairy farm and some bridge abutments under the water.
