Who is Shane Watson?

A 3rd generation Lake Lanier fisherman. Since 1979, Shane Watson has devoted his life to perfecting the skills and techniques needed to consistently catch stripers. Many of Shane's live bait and trolling methods are used by professional fisherman and weekend anglers across the country. He is the founder of the Lake Lanier Light Tackle Guide Association and has been featured on TV and in magazines nationwide.

About Shane Watson Guide Service

They have 7 guides who are all experienced Lake Lanier professionals. Fully licensed and insured, they specialize in live baiting and trolling for stripers using the most modern techniques and equipment available. They guide exclusively on Lake Lanier over 300 days each year.

All of the guides work together and remain in constant radio contact, which gives them increased coverage of the lake. When you fish with Shane Watson Guide Service you get the strength, coverage, and experience of the entire fleet.

Available Trips

Shane Watson Guide Service runs half day, full day, and night trips with competitive rates. To insure your success, they provide premium live bait at no extra cost. You'll be fishing light tackle on a fully equipped Carolina Skiff or Sea Chaser boat.

Private and corporate groups of any size are welcome. Dock pickup is available when conditions permit.
