Latest Fishing Report Lake Lanier Striper Fishing Rebounds

The striper fishing that was slower on Saturday morning, rebounded on Sunday and Monday. We all caught fish Saturday morning on our boats, but the numbers were low and the fish were scattered. Yesterday and today, the stripers got back on track and they were very thick at times. They were bunched up well and moving up higher in the water column. When they were thick under us, the numbers were good and many things worked. Downlines, power reeling jigs, leadcore, and some of our boats did well on u-rigs. Overall, The striper fishing has been good most days. We've had some 30 to 40 fish catch and release trips this past week and then we've had a day or two like Saturday, when the bites were harder to get. All of our fish have been over and just off the main channel on the southend.

Below you will see 4 photos of my Lowrance HDS graph. One from Sunday morning and the others from a school that we were on this morning. Many people ask us what stripers look like on a Lowrance graph, so here are some good examples that may help some of you. On another note, Thomas and Candy have started the new store down at the road. Come by and check out the progress. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service and Hammond's Fishing Center. Good Fishing and We Appreciate Everyone's Business.
