Georgia Senate Offers Comic Relief in Drought
There have been a lot of mistakes and dumb ideas leading up to the current water problems around Atlanta, but the Georgia Senate is about to produce the best of all. Their solution:
Conquer parts of Tennessee.
According to people digging into the historical records, a part of southern Tennessee should have been give to Georgia in the 1800s. By a very happy coincidence that extra mile will take us to the Tennessee River. The plan is to take over the town of Lookout Mountain and its river access. The Senate will be kind enough to let them keep Lookout Mountain itself.
The resolution enters the Senate today.
If the plan did succeed it would push Georgia's border up to the 35th parallel. Georgia also would get a chunk of Chattanooga, and Mississippi a slice of Memphis.| Gwinnett Plans to Return More Water to Lake Lanier < Previous | Next > Some Great News for Lanier - 6 Ramps Open! |
