With temperatures in the 100s and Lake Lanier water levels continuing to fall, many people and business have been slowing down.

Not so at Lake Lanier islands. The record temperatures have increased visitor numbers to the Beach and Water Park by 20%–25%. Boat rental at the Islands has also spiked.  
 

The Beach & Water Park is offering a weekend back to school special to keep everyone cool with $5 off per adult admission coupons. The coupon can be found at www.lakelanierislands.com (valid weekends and Labor Day through September 9th). The Beach and WaterPark is now open weekends only from 10:00am to 6:00pm until September 9th, and will be open 10:00am to 6:00pm Labor Day.
